During the final stages of Project 1OFF GLI, I came up with an idea to replace the factory stickers that cover the door sills front and rear. The passenger front had a decent sized scratch in it from removing a seat years past, and since OEM replacements are priced pretty high, it made perfect sense to make my own. These were very simple to manufacturer with the aid of a water-jet machine and CNC. After being cut, these were brushed to match the factory brushed aluminum trim, followed by a coat of clear powder for durability. Shown below are the fronts only from a Mk4 Jetta. Rears mimic’d the design sans the “By Savko” logo. So long as I have dimensions these can be made for any year or model VW & Audi.
